Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 2026
acceptance of terms
By accessing thetacticalreturn.com or applying to participate in The Tactical Return program ("Program"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use this site or apply to the Program.
Nature of program
The Tactical Return is a coaching and psychoeducational program based on the principles of Relational Life Therapy (RLT) and Jungian Shadow Work. It is NOT therapy, counseling, psychiatric treatment, or clinical mental health care. Participation does not establish a therapist-client relationship of any kind.
The Program is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment. Participants are solely responsible for their own physical, mental, and emotional well-being before, during, and after enrollment.
eligibility
The Tactical Return is designed for adult men (18 years of age or older) who meet the program's screening criteria. Enrollment is selective and at the sole discretion of the Facilitator. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
enrollment & commitment
Accepted participants agree to:
Attend all scheduled sessions with 100% punctuality
Complete all assigned fieldwork between sessions
Abide by the Group Confidentiality Agreement
Engage respectfully with all cohort members and the Facilitator
Punctuality is a non-negotiable commitment of The Tactical Return. Live sessions begin and end on time out of respect for every man in the group. Members who arrive more than 10 minutes late to a session will not be admitted to that session. A missed session constitutes a forfeiture of your seat — there are no makeups, no recordings, and no exceptions. If you cannot commit to 100% punctuality and attendance, this is not the right program for you at this time.
Investment and Refund Policy
The Tactical Return is a paid program for all cohorts beginning Winter 2027. The October 2026 Pilot Cohort is offered at no cost.
Cohort Investment
Winter 2027: $1,200 early-bird (first 12 confirmed participants across all squads) | $1,500 standard rate
Spring, Summer, and Autumn 2027: $1,500 per participant — all squads, no early-bird pricing
Payment is collected via secure Stripe payment link sent to accepted applicants following acceptance confirmation. Payment must be received within 48 hours of acceptance to confirm your seat.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to operations@thetacticalreturn.com.
There will be no refunds for any cancellation less than 14 days before the start of a cohort. Cancellation before the deadline (14 days before Session 1) — full refund minus a 5% processing fee. Cancellation deadlines by cohort: Winter 2027 — January 5, 2027 | Spring 2027 — March 30, 2027 | Summer 2027 — May 25, 2027 | Autumn 2027 — September 28, 2027.
All refunds are processed within 5 business days of written request and returned to the original payment method only.
Seat Transfers
Seats are non-transferable. A cancelled seat returns to The Tactical Return and is offered to the next qualified applicant on the waitlist.
No-Show Policy
Arriving more than 10 minutes late to a session constitutes a no-show for that session. A missed session forfeits your seat with no refund for remaining sessions. Exceptional circumstances — medical emergencies, family crises, and active military deployment orders — will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact jim@thetacticalreturn.com directly with documentation.
Exceptional Circumstances
Medical emergencies, family crises, and active military deployment orders will be considered on a case-by-case basis for cancellation requests outside the cancellation policy. The Tactical Return reserves the right to offer a full credit toward a future cohort in lieu of a cash refund in exceptional circumstances. Contact jim@thetacticalreturn.com directly with documentation.
Pilot Cohort
The October 2026 Pilot Cohort is offered at no cost. No financial refund applies. All attendance and commitment standards apply in full. Participants who withdraw or forfeit their seat release it to the next qualified applicant on the waitlist.
Intellectual Property
All content, frameworks, materials, and resources provided through The Tactical Return — including session content, written materials, and program methodologies — are the intellectual property of Jim Hamilton and The Tactical Return. Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialize any program materials without express written permission.
Confidentiality
All participants are required to sign a Group Confidentiality Agreement prior to the first session. What is shared inside the cohort stays inside the cohort
Limitation of Liability
The Tactical Return and Jim Hamilton are not liable for any outcomes, decisions, or consequences arising from participation in the Program. Participation is voluntary and entirely at the participant's own risk.
Disqualifying Conditions
Individuals currently experiencing active intimate partner violence, ongoing affairs, active addiction, or untreated clinical mental health conditions (including psychosis, major clinical depression, or acute PTSD) are not eligible for the Program. If any of these conditions arise during enrollment, the participant agrees to notify the Facilitator immediately.
Termination
The Facilitator reserves the right to remove any participant from the Program at any time for violation of these Terms, the Group Confidentiality Agreement, or conduct deemed disruptive or unsafe to the cohort.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Virginia.
